Coy Koi.....Part Two, the Second.........

........more paint....and still not finished...but it's beginning to take on definition.  And I think I'm beginning to get the feel of the water lilies.

Coy Koi...................

acrylic painting in progress (size of wooden panel is about 22 x 17).  Started it a month ago in a rare fit of enthusiam (yes, I never learn), but found some inspiration this weekend to begun anew the process of putting paint to board.  I like the water...the fish is passible...but the water lilies are going to challenge me (what an epitaph: Challenged to the Death by Water Lilies..and here he lies, food for flies, beaten by the Plant Kingdom...a martyr for art."  Catchy eh?

Found a Muse........

at  the Art Festival today..........now he sits just at the entrance to the shop.

at the piece in progress.  The painting stage has begun (as well as positioning pieces to see how it's all going to work).

..........round.  New bowl on the lathe finally - black walnut.  And is going well at this stage.

...........Vision.  30-inches tall, 10-inches wide x 6-inches deep.  Wood, metal, ceramic, found objects, and acrylic.   Created for Artists In Action "Outside the Box" auction during the Bush Park Art Fair (coming up in a few weeks).

....little....um....fellows decorating the wall of the studio.   Ceramic...bisque fired and acrylic glazed & varnished.  Roughly 3-5 inches tall.
