Oil Paint Monotypes and monoprints.............

....dabbling with a technique I saw on YouTube demonstrated by Dan Tirels.   I find the process to be addictive for some odd reason.   I'm just using unprimed recycled Bristol for this, but it seems to work well enough.

  1. Wow, this group of images is fantastic. Very fresh, spontaneous and expressive. Postcards from the Far Edge. Do more! You found something.

    1. Spontaneous, I think is most apt. I've always leaned to the rigid, but this process is cool in that it encourages expressive marks and spontaneous decisions. In my ceramics and assemblage, I often pause for months while deciding the next step -- but here....pedal to the metal! Thank you Dia.

  2. Seriously, these are powerful images, BG. Images to conjure by; each and every one of them.
