Currently I have pieces in the Something Red exhibit in downtown Salem. My work is in the Wild Pear Restaurant and in the Calusa Gallery.

January 7, 2011: Emerge Oregon. 6-10 PM at the Coffee House Cafe on Liberty Street, Salem.

January - March 2011: I shall be exhibiting pieces in the main downstairs area of the Rountree Gallery at 241 State Street, Salem. Opening is slated for January 15th.

Something................

..............Red, the annual (mostly) AIA-sponsored downtown art show debuted tonight. The juried work certainly lived up to the show and many wonderful pieces are currently hanging in various downtown locations. My pieces are at the Wild Pear Restaurant ("1.Reduction" - honorable place winner in the show) and at the Calusa Gallery (shrine, "Door Beneath Tomorrow").

Also debuting tonight is the Holiday Gallery at the Rountree Gallery Upstairs. My mini-masks are available at the Holiday gallery. I'll be participating in the gallery proper (downstairs) in January.

This Friday Sept 3rd, in CHC's warehouse the Emerge Oregon Art Series will host an interactive art installation called, "The Silouhettes of Salem". The display will feature spotlight created silouhettes to demostrate the art concepts of light, shadow and dimension. Come create fun shapes on our walls using markers and chalk. Enter our raffle $1.00 per ticket, to win original art by Salem artists Bob Dodson and Mark Bethel. Live music by DJ Broken.

Soul Box..............



............operational. A box for holding the essential essence of selfness - extracted to digitial information, scanned and tidied up for transmission to the next stage. This piece has 3 separate LED circuits - lights in the 3 vacuum tubes, an ultraviolet LED buried within the mask (visible through the nose and mouth) and the white 'sequencing' LEDs that scan the face, then proceed upwards through the 'confessional' circuit (red LEDs).

Mixed media. Approximate size is 20-inches x 17-inches x 6-inches. Sold at the AIA "Outside the Box" auction.
