Polynesian carving of an unidentified green stone (possibly meteoric in origin?) 127mm x 101mm x 25mm. Date: circa 480 BCE (via carbon dating). Origin: Unknown. Obtained from a native trader on Naairoa, Rurutu Island by the 1923 Marsh and Wilder South Pacific Expedition, but anecdotal evidence suggests original source is an outlying uninhabited southern island.
