Gel transfers are actually pretty simple if you use a toner print (rather than inkjet) and the right gel (I use the Golden regular bodied matte). There are softer and heavier gels, but I find the softer will tear and the heavier can obscure parts of the image.
Toner as in a laser printer print or a copy machine print. I'm not talking about playing with the toner itself -- that stuff is nasty -- gets everywhere. And yes, I doubt I'd want to breathe it.
Oooh, very cool! Was the gel transfer a bitch to work with? I've often thought of trying them myself. Yours looks flawless.

ReplyDeleteThanks for the info! But, do you mean, "toner" as in laser printer? Actually, I had to google it.

Warning: supposedly the toner powder can cause respiratory diseases.
