The ORB..........

.........of Light.  Arduino powered with a multitude of LEDs within.  Sadly, it's difficult to display the entire sequence here, but the selections below give an idea.

....relics....totems....artifacts....Steampunked Altoid tins.   The top one has a 'flickering candle' LED with battery, the bottom - a vacuum tube.

......Happy Halloween.   Bought the resin skull at Big Lots and installed LEDs (from Dollar store LED candles) in the eyes.  Built the 'candle' atop the skull from a dowel and hot glue and wired another LED into it.  Mounted to a wooden cigar box to hide the battery and switch.  Viola!

at the piece in progress.  The painting stage has begun (as well as positioning pieces to see how it's all going to work).

The Shrine ...........

of Faith Amplification -or- "The Shrine of Saint Tesla". Complete with 'arc welder' circuitry for the top vacuum tube. lit vaccum tubes on the sides and flickering LED candles. 38-inches tall. 10-inches deep. And yes, the mili-amp meter displays the current of the 'arc welder' circuit.

Dancing LEDs......

via the good old 555 & 4017 ICs. These circuits take forever to make doing point-to-point wiring.....but was going for a small circuit footprint. Constructed for a friend's in-progress Steampunk piece.

Soul Box..............

............operational. A box for holding the essential essence of selfness - extracted to digitial information, scanned and tidied up for transmission to the next stage. This piece has 3 separate LED circuits - lights in the 3 vacuum tubes, an ultraviolet LED buried within the mask (visible through the nose and mouth) and the white 'sequencing' LEDs that scan the face, then proceed upwards through the 'confessional' circuit (red LEDs).

Mixed media. Approximate size is 20-inches x 17-inches x 6-inches. Sold at the AIA "Outside the Box" auction.
