Spring is nearly sprung and the sun is shrining once again....sporadically. "Portal of Passage". Assemblage 15.5-inches tall x 9-inches wide. Altered Altoids tin is held in place via a magnet. Sold at the AIA Silent Auction.

...."Aperature of Possibilities". Roughly 12-inches x 7-inches x 3.5-inches. Removable tin. Assemblage. Sold.

......The Vault of Forgotten Dreams. Replete with combination lock. Approximately 13-inches x 7-inches x 3-inches. Assemblage.

Shrine On.....

crazy diamond....the second float in the Shrine Parade (stay inside the safety ropes, kids): This is the unlatched Gateway Beyond Time (with lovely rusty gears and papered inside with fortune cookie fortunes -- I knew they'd come in handy SOME day). LED tea lights add the timeless touch. 12-inches high x 7-inches wide x 2.5-inches deep. Wall hanging.

Shrine Parade.........

begun...and no funny hats or tricycles..... Altoid tin shrine (tin is removable). Mixed media. Approximately 14-inches high x 8-inches wide x 2-inches deep. LED tea lights for the devoted touch. Sold.

complete. 18.5" x 26" x 7" roughly. Acrylics, ceramics, colored pencil, 'found' items.

....from the Nightside..... This is still in progress, but is going fairly well, thank you. Mixed media, 24 x 16 on MDF.

The Box

"Shaman in a Box". Mixed Media. Approx 21" x 21" x 4" deep.

We exist in a wide-open cosmos -- each of us less than a speck of dust in terms of Universal Size. To cope, we build our boxes and insert ourselves within -- miniscule packages of Ego, iD and self. The Shaman attempts to find the key to a wider view -- that perspective that serves to unite the self and Universe. Some succeed. Some fail. The reward is not in the destination, but in the journey beyond the complexity of the ordinary.
