Glaze test.............
... 2 coats of Georgie's "Rusty Nails" over 2 coats of "Dry Rust". Wanted to see exactly what this looked like -- I have some large vases to be glazed. I think it shall do.

Baltic Raku....aka Obvara.........
......first time I've tried this. The unglazed clay pieces are fired to 1650F, then pulled and dunked into a mixture of water, flour and yeast. Then into a bucket of water and set aside to cool. I lost the first piece to thermal shock, but these three came out in varying degrees of interest. The whiter piece is a different clay than the other two. Much more experimentation is in order!

More Marilee's Lava Exploration........
Black mason stain undercoat and a red iron oxide overcoat. My standard glossy white liner glaze around the top 1/4 of the piece.
"Earth Bowl #8". Red iron oxide undercoat, black mason stain topcoat.
Fired to cone 6 in oxidation.
