End of the Gov Cup Show........

Took the show down today.   Man...the walls look bare.

Thanks to everyone who commented on the art...and to those who purchased pieces.

A show at Venti's Basement Bar is possible in the near future....again, partnered with Kristin Blix.

And this is the newest addition to the show (in a sense) -- made on commission.

Hanging Out at the..........

Artists In Action storefront this afternoon.  The city donated the downtown space for a month as an on-going effort to promote the arts.   Various members have volunteered to work in the space and show the public what we do.  I created the above mask today.

Here, we have various painters in decisive, dynamic demonstration.
And Kev Kohler with his ambitious painting.

I apologize for the photo quality - I forgot my camera, so had to use my cell phone.

The FINAL Emerge ................

......Oregon show occured last night, although one does not know if the show shall be Ended for All Time - stranger things have seen resurrection beyond the final breath. During the past year or so, Emerge became one of the rare definite "things I do" and I shall miss it and the opportunity provided to meet other artists.

This is what's great about this show. The above piece by Aaron Molinsky helps me put my own stuff in perspective......meaning, I often ask myself WHY I make what I make...but at least I'm not making full sized figures. So, he's obviously far more mad than I. Now I feel normal again.

Last...but not least -- Jonathan Boys - Founder and Drive behind Emerge. He's put a lot of effort into the show over the past 2 years and well, it sort of shows in this photo. But he's still rocking. And not ALL that rocking is from mis-matched limbs. Mostly.

Something Red 2008

I was fortunate enough to be juried into Salem's Artists In Action December show, Something Red 2008. Two pieces of my work, "Crux" and "Goodbye Houston" will be on display.

Feels good.
